Confined to her apartment, Geneviève awaits recovery. Inspired by the old pot supports*, she crafts two Body Supports. The first is for her own knee, the other for the injured arm of her friend Rosalie Gamache. She also designs a Sky Support for the languid horizon, borrowing the lines drawn by the curtains that frame it. The frosty caress of the glazes that condense on the surface of the ceramic objects seems to underscore the mysterious nature of the support they provide.

Meanwhile, Alice travels the St. Lawrence River. Her pieces evoke the vessel that carried her across its waters from Montreal to the North Shore, passing through the Magdalen Islands, the lower reaches of the river, and the Gaspé Peninsula. Throughout her journeys, she scoured the seabed and archives, exploring the river's history, daily life, customs, and other whispers, extracting the clays and shells that will serve as her glaze. These are authentic, imagined chronicles that she shapes to bring the depths of this familiar river to life for us. It will appear all the more wondrous for it.

The two artists' adventure culminates in the gallery space, drawn together by the mutual and entirely natural attraction of their complementary worlds. It should therefore come as no surprise that Geneviève and Alice had been plotting this collaboration behind our backs long before we even approached them.

*The pot support is a utensil used to prop up the pot during cooking, preventing it from spilling its contents into the hearth.
